Pump/Skimmer To Remove Dye Penetrant From Rinse Water

THE KELLER TKO-10-DP CONTINUOUSLY REMOVES
DYE PENETRANT FROM A RINSE WATER TANK

When to Use a Keller TKO-10-DP Pump/Skimmer:
Dye penetrants are applied to precision parts to permit finding cracks or other flaws in the surfaces of the parts. After the parts are inspected, the bulk of the penetrant is removed by immersion in a water rinse tank. The dye penetrant rinsed off the parts floats to the top of the tank. lf the penetrant builds up to cover the surface of the rinse tank, the cleaning process is impaired. Without treatment, the water in the rinse tank must be dumped frequently. The TKO-1O-DP continuously removes the dye penetrant from the surlace of the rinse tank and returns the cleaned rinse water to the tank.

Get these benefits:
  • Reduce waste from the dye penetrant area and downtime for changing rinse water by 75%
  • Odor and biofouling of the rinse water eliminated

With these exclusive Keller features:
  • Rugged self-priming 1/2" air-driven diaphragm pump
  • Patented permanent oil separating (coalescing) element, never needs changing
  • Sets up in minutes-Requires minimal operator attention

How the TDK-10-DP Pump/Skimmer works:
The TKO-10-DP Pump/Skimmer is similar in operation to conventional Keller TKO Pump/Skimmers but utilizes special materials of construction which are resistant to attack by the dye penetrant. The TKO-10-DP pumps dye penetrant and water from the surface of a rinse tank, removes the penetrant, and continuously returns the cleaned water at a flow rate of 180 gallons per hour. An air-operated diaphragm pump pulls the surface liquid through an inlet device, and then through a cartridge filter which removes solids from the liquid. The filtered liquid is pumped to the Keller oil coalescing element, which separates the penetrant. The penetrant collects in a layer at the top of the separator tank and is occasionally drained into a waste container, simply by opening a drain valve. No other operator attention is required. The cleaned rinse water continuously returns to the tank by gravity.
