Washable EDM Water Filters

Greatly Extend the Life of EDM Water Filters by Adding a
Low Cost Prefilter with Permanent, Cleanable Filter Elements

  • Protect costly disposable filter elements with economical prefilters with permanent, cleanable elements---Prices start at $295.00
  • Prefilters can extend the life of disposable filter elements by 50% or more with low one-time cost, no replacement element costs
  • Install in water loop using the hose barbs provided---No new piping required
  • Three sizes, for flow rates to 100 gallons per minute
E-Series Prefilters with Cleanable Filter Elements
An E-Series Prefilter, installed in an EDM water circulation loop between the pump and the existing disposable filters, can extend the life of the disposable filters by at least 50%, or more if the solids load is unusually heavy. The Keller permanent, cleanable filter elements remove sludge and large solid particles from the system, allowing the disposable elements to filter only fine particles. An E-Series EDM Prefilter extends the life of disposable filters, reduces the frequency of disposing of spent elements, and permits longer machine run times. In addition, E-Series filters are convenient prefilters and final filters for ion exchange resin beds, and are excellent sediment and rust filters for the shop water supply.

How to Select the E-Series EDM Prefilter
E-Series EDM Prefilters are supplied for three flow capacities:
XE10 - 25 gpm; XE20 - 50 gpm; XE22 - 100 gpm.
Select the prefilter assembly required for the water recirculation rate of the machine. The XE assemblies are supplied prepiped with inlet & outlet pressure gages, shutoff valve, mounting bracket, and barbed fittings for 3/4" or 1" hoses.

Installation & Operation
Install an E-Series Prefilter in the dirty water circulation hose between the pump and the existing disposable filters, using the 3/4" or 1" hose barbs provided. Clean the Keller all-plastic filter elements by soaking in a dilute muriatic acid solution or any other metal cleaner used in cleaning the EDM system. All components in an XE assembly are acid-resistant plastic.
